Guest Services Representative
A Guest Service Representative is responsible for attending to the needs of guests, especially during the check-in and check-out processes in a fast pace environment.
Job functions include:
Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities
Provide and assist guests with questions about area information and attractions
Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information Providing information to guests about the local area (directions, places to eat)
Selling rooms to “walk-in” customers
Entering/ changing reservation information on the computer system Posting charges to guest accounts
Explaining charges which appear on guest accounts Processing/posting payments from guests
Making necessary corrections to guest accounts
Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability Listening for and responding to guest complaints
Proficient in making Room Reservations over the phone Taking messages for guests/ employees
Cleaning the front desk area
Maintaining daily communication with other staff members, read Front Desk communication log
Balancing shift work and cash drawers
Meeting hotel standards for guest service and work habits Other duties as assigned

Room Attendant
A room attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of hotel rooms in a fast
pace work environment. Starting time is 9am Monday – Thursday & 9:30am on Saturday & Sunday.
Job functions include:
Vacuuming and/ or sweeping carpets and floors
Mopping floors as needed
Dusting, brushing, polishing and / or vacuuming furniture
Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances and structural surfaces (wall fixtures, window sills, and vents)
Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks and bathroom items
Making beds according to hotel standards
Removing used guest amenities and trash
Replenishing guest amenities and supplies
Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and for the operating conditions of equipment
Checking for damaged linens
Reporting lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room problems (pets in the room, smoking in a non-smoking room, etc.) to a supervisor
Maintaining storage rooms and stock cart
Emptying linen from dirty laundry cart down laundry chute.
Recording room status on work assignment sheets
Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities and other amenities
Providing information to guests about local attractions/services
Preparing rooms for guest arrival and responding to special guest requests, such as delivering rollaways or cleaning a spill
Meeting hotel standards for guest service and work habits
Greet Hotel Guests as they are encountered
Other duties as assigned
Breakfast Manager
The Breakfast Manager oversees is responsible for preparing and delivering the daily complimentary breakfast for hotel guests.
Breakfast Hours for Guests goes from 6:30am to 10:30am.
Employees may be scheduled between 5:30am till about 11am or Noon.
Job functions include:
Supervise breakfast team members
Work with other managers
Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
Ordering or purchasing food supplies
Preparing food such as cut fruit, coffee, and juice
Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers
Arranging serving dishes/trays, utensils, and cups
Setting out/arranging cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal
Preparing heating hot food such as breakfast meats & scrambled eggs
Picking up or clearing tables as they are vacated
Wiping up spills
Keeping lobby /breakfast area floor clean; sweep & mop as necessary
Removing trash
Re-stocking self-service food and supplies as needed
Washing reusable wares & serving equipment, returning them to storage
Returning reusable food supplies to storage
Responding to guest needs or requests
Meeting hotel standards for guest service and work habits

Breakfast Host/Hostess
The Breakfast Host/Hostess is responsible for preparing and delivering the daily complimentary
breakfast for hotel guests. Breakfast Hours for Guests goes from 6:30am to 10:30am.
Employees may be scheduled between 5:30am till about 11am or Noon.
Job functions include:
Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
Ordering or purchasing food supplies
Preparing food such as cut fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates
Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers
Arranging serving dishes/trays, utensils, and cups
Setting out/ arranging cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal for self service
Preparing (microwave heating to 160 degrees) pre-cooked hot food such as breakfast meats & scrambled eggs
Picking up or clearing tables as they are vacated
Wiping up spills
Keeping lobby/breakfast area floor clean; sweep & mop as necessary
Removing trash
Re-stocking self-service food and supplies as needed
Washing reusable wares & serving equipment and returning them to storage
